The Environmental Science Program seeks to develop well-rounded scientists and critical thinkers who can excel in careers in the ever-expanding environmental field. The professional experience of the faculty and their desire to engage students in the investigation of local environmental problems results in a program that emphasizes applied research and hands-on field work. Students are given many opportunities to gain real world experience and contacts through the practical curriculum and the Cooperative Education and Internship Programs.
