The final station of the Long Island Sound project, the Thames River in Connecticut. From the left Professor Gobler, and students, Florian Koch, Marie Pier, George Boneillo, and Nathan Buck.  Upon completion of his degree at Southampton, Nathan went on enroll in Stony Brook University’s Marine Sciences Research Center.

The cruises went as far west as the East River along Manhattan allowing for a wonderful glimpse of the Brooklyn Bridge and the World Trade Center prior to September 11, 2001.
