We are happy to announce two additions to the Southampton College Writers Conference:
Nan Talese, Senior Vice President of Doubleday and the Publisher and Editorial Director of Nan A. Talese/Doubleday, will be joining us for an Afternoon Lecture. Ms. Talese has edited a variety of books, including The Prince of Tides by Pat Conroy, The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood and Back in the World by Tobias Wolff. Recently, she has published Alias Grace by Margaret Atwood, Amsterdam by Ian McEwan and works by Thomas Kenneally, Alison Lurie, Gita Mehta, George Plimpton and Antonia Fraser.
Chip Cooper, a professional photographer, will be joining us for the duration of the Conference. He will take both candid and posed photos, and will present a lecture on Author Photos, as well as a Retrospective Slide Show on the last day of the Conference.
