The Southampton Writers Conference is pleased to offer a number of full and partial scholarships covering tuition, room and board.
Barnes and Noble Scholarships
The Barnes and Noble Scholarships are awarded to both MFA students of Southampton College and to students attending other institutions of higher learning whose writing displays exceptional promise. In addition to the required manuscript submission, applicants must also include a letter of recommendation and statement of purpose.
John Steinbeck Writing Scholarships
The John Steinbeck Writing Scholarships are awarded to both undergraduate and MFA students of Southampton College whose writing displays exceptional promise. In addition to the required manuscript submission, applicants must also include a letter of recommendation and statement of purpose.
Southampton Writers Conference Scholarship
The Southampton Writers Conference Scholarships are open to all applicants, and awarded to those whose writing displays exceptional promise. In addition to the required manuscript submission, applicants must also include a letter of recommendation and statement of purpose.
Letters of recommendation and statements of purpose should be mailed with the completed application by April 2, 2002:
