Southampton, NY - Amanda Mills of Southampton was recently promoted to Associate Director of Graduate Admissions at Southampton College of Long Island University. She now will be responsible for the numerous graduate programs the College offers, including the upstart Fast-Track Master of Business Administration (MBA) program.

Mills, who graduated from the College in 1996, previously was an Assistant in the Admissions Department and before that worked as Assistant Editor at The American, an international newspaper aimed at expatriates. Mills is known for her high energy, focus and people skills.

"Amanda is very deserving of this promotion and the opportunity to grow in the admissions profession," said Admissions Director Bernetta McCall. "She is motivated, diligent and has a strong work ethic. I have no doubt that she will be a mover and shaker in helping me shape the class of 2001 and beyond."

Mills' new duties include interviewing, reviewing and qualifying potential graduate students, along with acting as a faculty liaison and registration advisor for entering graduate students.

Southampton College offers graduate degrees in Writing, Education, Gerontology, Accounting and now Business Administration through the Fast-Track MBA program. The MBA program's unique 42-credit curriculum allows graduate students to finish in 16 months by meeting just Thursday nights and Saturdays.
