Open Auditions Set for Southampton Players Spring Production Working: The Musical by Studs Turkel

Open auditions for the Southampton Players spring production of Working: The Musical will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 4 and 5 at 6 p.m. in the Fine Arts Theatre at Long Island University's Southampton Graduate Campus. The play, based on the book by Studs Turkel, features the music of James Taylor, Mary Rogers, Craig Carnellia, and Stephen Schwartz. "Working is a musical for anyone who has ever received a paycheck, punched a time clock, or aspired to something greater," said Michael Disher, adjunct professor at Southampton Graduate Campus who directs the Southampton Players productions.

The cast calls for 14 men and 14 women aged 18 -70, plus chorus roles. Performance dates are scheduled for April 17 - 19 and 24 - 26 in the Fine Arts Theatre. For further information call Michael Disher at (516) 287-8480.
