Long Island University at Riverhead’s Teacher Education Program, which is designed to provide excellence in initial and professional teacher education programs in childhood education, literacy education and teaching students with disabilities, is accredited by the Teacher Education Accreditation Council for a period of five years, from January 9, 2009 to January 9, 2014.
