Summer and Fall 2010 Academic Calendar

Registration Information
Online registration for Summer and Fall 2010 will begin on March 22 for Graduate students and on March 24 for Undergraduate students. Please meet with your faculty advisor prior to registration to discuss your program requirements and course selections. You may call the Education Division Office at (631) 287-8214 to schedule an appointment with your advisor. While it is best to meet in person, you may also speak to an advisor by phone.

Once logged into the system, you will be able to register for classes beginning on March 22/24 as follows:

Tuesday, March 23
[5:59am]  GRAD students – 12-23 credits earned

Wednesday, March 24
[5:59am]  UGRAD students – 105 or more credits earned

Thursday, March 25
[5:59am]  UGRAD students – 90 - 104 credits earned

Friday, March 26
[5:59am]  UGRAD students – 75 - 89 credits earned

Monday, March 29
[5:59am]  UGRAD students – 60 - 74 credits earned

Tuesday, March 30
[5:59am]  UGRAD students – 45 - 59 credits earned

You may also add and drop classes during the University’s open enrollment period which extends through the second day of classes for Summer and through the end of the first week of the Fall 2010 term.

Online registration instructions are available at the Student Center studentcenter.liu.edu and in hard copy at the Riverhead Student Services and Education Program Offices. If you are unable to register online or need additional assistance with online registration, please contact John-Paul McCaffrey as noted above.

Student Services Information

Billing, payment plans or prior balance inquires can be directed to the Bursar's Office at the C.W. Post Campus by calling 516-299-2323 or emailing bursar@cwpost.liu.edu. Your account must be current, or paid in full before you can register for Summer of Fall 2010.

Financial aid questions should be directed to Christina Stromski at (631) 287-8322 or Christina.Stromski@liu.edu. Please be reminded that if you receive financial assistance in the form of a student loan and/or scholarship, this credit cannot be applied to your student account for Summer or Fall 2010 until you have filed your 2010 – 2011 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form. The 2010 – 2011 financial aid year begins with the Summer 2010 term and ends with the Spring 2011 term. The form can be completed on-line at www.fafsa.ed.gov. The federal processing code you need to use on your application is 002751.

If you have any holds on your student account that prevent you from registering for the Summer or Fall 2010 term, we suggest that you attempt to resolve the issues as soon as possible. You can check your MyLIU account for these holds and review the details for information about how to resolve them.
